Busted Knuckles Auctions presents this Very Cool 1977 Ford F-250 that has received a refurbishment in 2011 involving multiple hours of workmanship and a large amount of upgrades.  This example is powered by a replacement 460ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission.  Part of the refurbishment included fitting a 1979 body to the 1977 chassis.  This truck is being sold with a clean Tennessee title and is stated to have 200 miles since the refurbishment.

The seller and her late husband acquired the truck around 2018 from the seller’s father-in-law, who initiated a refurbishment in 2011 that is said to have involved fitting and refinishing the body of a 1979 F-100, refreshing the interior, and installing the engine.  This 1977 Ford F-250 is finished in blue over a blue 2 tone interior.  Multiple options include F-250 Custom and Explorer badges, towing mirrors, and a chrome rear step bumper.  All of the bright work and moldings show very well in the pics.  Aftermarket 20″ polished Moto Metal alloy wheels feature tires sized 275/55 in the front and 305/50 Nitto NT420S tires in the rear. Front disc brakes with twin-piston calipers were added during the seller’s ownership.

The 460ci V8 was bored to 572ci and installed by the seller’s late husband.  A custom 3″ dual-exhaust system with Borla mufflers as well as a replacement fuel tank were installed during the refurbishment.  Other options during the refurbishment include:

  • Edelbrock 1411 750cfm four-barrel carburetor
  • Edelbrock intake manifold
  • Ford Super Cobra Jet cylinder heads
  • HEI distributor
  • Hedman long-tube headers
  • Howards Cams camshaft
  • All American Billet Front Drive System
  • Ford Racing Billet Pulleys
  • Electric fuel pump
  • Electric fan

The interior of this F-250 consists of 2 tone blue cloth and vinyl seating with matching panels and painted doors and dash. Other noted equipment includes black carpeted floor mats, and an aftermarket Sony CD/Bluetooth head unit. The seller states that the heater core has been bypassed.  Gauges consists of an 85-mph speedometer as well as fuel level and temperature gauges. The odometer shows approximately 200 miles but the correct mileage is unknown.
