Busted Knuckles presents this 2001 Ducati 996. The Ducati 996 is powered by a 996cc 8-valve V-twin mated to a 6-speed transmission. The 996 was created primarily for use on the track featuring Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes. This example has never been tracked or dropped.
The Ducati 996 features Showa forks, Brembo brakes with 4-piston calipers, and an adjustable Ohlins suspension. Aftermarket Termignoni carbon fiber exhaust have been fitted, and the Marchesini 5-spoke alloy wheels wear Michelin tires. The Seller states the bike could use new tires. There are some small chips and cracks as seen in pictures to the front fender and headlight.
The liquid-cooled 996cc V-twin features four desmodromic valves per cylinder and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer, a 13k-rpm tachometer and a coolant temperature gauge. There is a tiny tear on the back of the rear seat as seen in the pics. The odometer reads 9196 Miles. The Seller states the belts were serviced 5K miles ago.
