1971 Jaguar XKE Roadster

Busted Knuckles Auctions presents this 1971 Jaguar XKE Roadster finished in Red over tan leather interior.  This XKE is powered by its numbers-matching 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six and is equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox. The selling Dealer states this is 1 of 26 total 6 Cylinder XKE Roadsters imported to the U.S. in late 1971 proven by the 2R14353 chassis number.

Series II XKE Jags included taillights mounted below the wrap-around rear bumper, larger front marker lamps, and uncovered headlight buckets.  This Jaguar is equipped with 15 inch wire wheels and power-assisted disc brakes.  Power comes from a numbers matching 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six featuring twin Stromberg carburetors. Power is rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The interior consists of tan leather seating and matching door panels with a black dashboard.  Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, battery voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level guages. The odometer reads 31,777 miles and is said to be accurate.
