Busted Knuckles Auctions presents this 1980 Porsche 911 Weissach Edition. It has a 3.0L H6 producing 172 HP and 175 ft-lbs of torque which runs through a 5-speed manual. The Weissach Edition was painted in Platinum Metallic with a tan and red interior. Only 408 Weissach limited edition models were produced and delivered to the united states. It is estimated that there are only 200 left, making this car an incredibly rare collectable. The 911 Weissach comes with a clean Texas title.
Engine and Transmission
The Weissach is powered by Porsche’s fuel-injected 3.0 L flat-6 engine driving a 5-speed manual transaxle with a limited slip differential. It has a top speed of 139 mph and does 0-60 in just 7 seconds. The Weissach came with stiffer shocks and larger Type-930 disc brakes on all four wheels.
Exterior
The rear wing, known as the “whale tail,” was taken from the 1977 Turbo and modified. It is a full fiberglass lightweight spoiler with a metal frame which can only be found on the Weissach. The Weissach coupes also came standard with a flexible chin on the front air dam. It also has the original wide 15 inch fuchs alloy wheels.
Interior
Stepping inside this time capsule, the Weissach has perforated Doric Gray leather seats, which are beautifully contrasted with red carpet and red seating accents exclusive to the Weissach Edition. The interior is in excellent condition.
