This awesome 1968 Chevrolet Corvette is an NCRS registry award winner from March 2015. Restoration of this Vette was completed in June of 2014 by Thorpe Corvettes in O’Fallon, IL. This example was repainted white and features twin front grilles, four-hole side vents, and chrome bumpers. Also featured are removable body-colored T-top panels.
The interior is upholstered in a very rare dark orange. The stock pushbutton AM/FM radio and clock compliment the finishes. A wood-rimmed steering wheel makes the interior stand out in this beauty.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The odometer reads 39,957 miles. Stock Frigidaire air conditioning and power steering also are optioned on this Vette.
The power plant in this beast consists of a 427 Big Block Turbo Jet V8. Power is rated at 390 Horsepower. All of this is power is sent through to an M21 4-speed manual transmission.
